The Secretariat of the Xinjiang Silk Road Mining Cooperation Forum and the Xinjiang International Mining and Equipment Expo recently announced that, in active response to the urgent need of mining enterprises to resume production and work, the 10th Xinjiang Mining Expo and Silk Road Mining Cooperation Forum will be held as scheduled from July 16 to 18 at the Xinjiang International Convention and Exhibition Center. During the event, a signing ceremony for the “Silk Road Mining 5+1 Cooperation Community” will be held, along with ceremonies for the selection and awarding of “Demonstration Units for Silk Road Mining Cooperation” and the “Silk Road Mining Cooperation Contribution Award.”
This conference is approved by the Ministry of Commerce and specially co-organized by the National Project 305 Office of the People’s Government of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, with joint sponsorship from units along the Silk Road, including the Gansu Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources, the Qinghai Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources, the Ningxia Geological Bureau, and the Inner Mongolia Geological and Mineral Resources Group.
To date, the number of exhibitors, attendees, and visiting procurement delegations registered for consultation has far exceeded that of previous sessions. The Conference Secretariat has already received inquiry calls from numerous organizations, including China Copper Corporation and Zhaojin Mining, expressing interest in exhibiting and attending. A spokesperson for the Secretariat stated that organizational efforts have never been interrupted; through remote working and other measures, the team is steadily advancing preparations to ensure that the high-profile expo and forum are held on schedule, with guaranteed quality and quantity, thereby establishing a professional, reliable, and stable platform for shared development in the mining industry across Central Asia and along the Silk Road. In addition, the Secretariat will implement gratitude-based preferential policies for all exhibiting and attending companies that contributed to pandemic relief efforts; to date, such incentives have already been extended to more than a dozen participating donor firms.
This year marks the decisive year in the battle against poverty. As a key platform for Silk Road mining, the Xinjiang Mining Expo will bolster the development of Xinjiang’s mining industry by focusing on policies, projects, technologies, and financing, thereby transforming industrial strengths into resource advantages and providing geological, resource, and equipment support to ensure victory in the fight against poverty.
